440 The Strand is Coutts Bank London Head Office and operates 24/7 international banking operations. Llumarlite has worked in partnership with Coutts for over 17 years and has carried out two major lighting upgrades.

Overview of DALI Lighting Upgrade

  • 3,500 fittings upgraded to high frequency T5
  • Custom designed louvre to comply with current legislation
  • Custom easy fit plug & play gear tray
  • Retrofitted into existing lighting trough which forms part of the ceiling construction reducing impact on the working environment
  • DALI system installed with dimmable ballasts controlled and monitored by dedicated onsite PC
  • Emergency lighting incorporated as part of the main lighting installation
  • PIR control to office and circulation areas
  • Daylight linking to all glazed elevations
  • Pre-programmed illuminance levels dependant on time of day and operational activity e.g. daytime, security, housekeeping, maintenance
  • Local control via handheld device – meeting rooms, presentation suites
  • Architectural lighting system installed in presentation suites with AV interface
  • All works completed without any disruption to the banks 24 hour banking operation
