Scope

Llumarlite were invited to assess the store in conjunction with the clients M & E consultant. The brief was to explore ways to reduce energy consumption throughout the whole store without compromising the aesthetics or lighting levels. Different criteria had to be considered for Back of House areas and the Trading Floor.

Overview

  • Zoning of trading floors via PIR during stocking hours
  • Retrofit Lamp & Gear for display lighting – reducing energy by 50%
  • Rationalisation and re-commissioning of all display lighting
  • Customise D11 luminaires to accept PIR control
  • Removal of obsolete low Voltage downlights
  • Removal of all Back Of House T12 lamps replaced with Long-Life T5 lamps and PIR control
  • Re commission Lighting control panel to reflect Lighting Upgrades.

Savings

  • 59,800 KW/h Providing a Return on Investment within 3 Years
  • Lamp life increased by 50% to 25000 hours
  • Both Planned maintenance & Store call outs reduced
  • Reduced HVAC load
  • Dramatically improved visual environment to Back of House areas, whilst meeting latest design standards
  • 33% reduction in consumption during stocking times.
