Designed by Sir Frank Gibberd and located on the north side of The Strand, the offices of the prestigious banking firm, Coutts & Co. proved to be a challenging brief for Llumarlite.
A glass wall has been built in the façade, originally designed by John Nash, which looks onto a fine indoor garden court designed to give the feeling of a traditional London Square – but with an ideal climate, lighting, cream coloured marble paving and sub-tropical plants.
Llumarlite provided light fittings and controls that maintained the courtyard ambience in keeping with this historic building. Controls to ensure the natural daylight feel was maintained helped ensure that this lighting installation was both discreet and sympathetic to the overall environment. |
