Lighting within offices and workspace environments accounts for 40-60% of electricity costs. Recent surveys have shown that the installation of an automated lighting control system can cut these costs by 50-70%. At Llumarlite, it remains our priority to introduce energy efficient lighting control systems to our clients thereby reducing the whole life costs of installations, providing savings for refurbished or upgraded installations and integrating modern digital protocols in appropriate environments.

Here are just a few examples of lighting control products available from Llumarlite:

  Marshalling Boxes:

Manufactured from Zintec Steel and polyester coated, all units have LED indicators and easy access hinged front covers and fuse holders.

  • Suitable for fast-track plug in installations.
  • Can be used as termination units for detectors and other mains rated devices.
  • Can be connected to other module boxes for system characteristic such as corridor hold and timer facilities.
  • Emergency test facility incorporated

Custom Design Panels:

Polyester coated steel enclosures fitted integral with lighting control units. Utilising the latest technology custom designed panels can provide PC controlled systems with the latest Graphic user interfaces, LonMarked compatability, BMS interfacing and touch screens.

Architectural Control:

Llumarlite provides a wide range of architectural control units allowing us to offer systems from one channel push buttons through to sophistaicated multi-channel scene setting sytems.

Llumarlite and Dali

Leading manufacturers throughout the world have developed the DALI digital protocol to bring the benefits of digital control to the widest possible market.

DALI uses simple cabling to carry a two-way digital signal between all the devices within a system. Ballasts, control panels, sensors and programming devices can all be connected and thus communicate with each other.

Intelligent digital lighting control systems are paving the way forward in energy efficiency, resource optimisation, flexibility and security. Llumarlite offers a portfolio of products that in different combinations provides solutions to cover the needs of all commercial lighting markets.

Our service includes products for specifiers, installers and end users. The benefits derived from this protocol include:

  • Smooth stepless dimming from 1% to 100%
  • Connection to a LONGWORKS ® network allowing a building management system to control the lighting products
  • Combines daylight control, presence detection and infrared control in one product.
  • Enables different panel configurations using standard components as push buttons, rotary potentiometers and sliders.
  • DIN-rail mounted dimmers designed to dim loads of up to 1000W.

Utilising the DALI protocol can result in beautiful lighting solutions providing:

  • Individual channel control of multiple lighting circuits to achieve the right overall effect.
  • Creation of lighting scenes to match the different uses of a single space, especially important for meeting rooms, offices, restaurants and similar multi-purpose applications.
  • Smooth transitions between scenes with programmable dimming speeds.
  • The control of mixed light sources, including conventional fluorescent lamps, compact fluorescent lamps, HID lamps, conventional tungsten lamps and tungsten halogen lamps.

Energy Efficiency and Cost Saving:

  • Controlling the light level using constant light reduces energy consumption.
  • Longer lamp life is obtained by using high frequency digital ballasts and constant light.
  • Increased product reliability ensures a reduction in the cost of replacing lamps or other system components.
  • Fewer products are required to operate a lighting control system.
  • Minimal wiring reduces installation costs as well as possible refurbishment costs.

Simple Maintenance:

  • All products give feedback to a computer or controller.
  • The system can be configured to incorporate new or revised workspace layouts.
  • Handsets or push button panels can be used for small systems.
  • PC’s are4 used for larger sytems.

PIR’s:

PIR Xtra - Intelligent Presence and Aural Detection Switches

  • Microphone and Photocell incorporated
  • Directly wired to Luminaires
  • Adjustable time delay
  • Recessed and Surfaced types available
  • Dual switching output relays available
  • Wider coverage means fewer PIRs required
  • More energy conscious than ordinary PIRs
  • No ‘line-of-sight’ problems
  • Intelligent detection of natural light
  • No need for separate module boxes
  • Simple push-button controls
