Coutts & Co. the prestigious provider of private banking and wealth management, were needing to overhaul and upgrade the banks London office they turned again to Llumarlite. The project involved the modernisation of over 3,500 luminaires covering offices, presentation suites and meeting rooms along with the installation of a new DALI networked lighting management system and emergency lighting.

Installation could not impact the day to day running of the bank Coutts offices are located within a Grade II Listed building and the lighting was within a trough that forms part of the celling construction. Llumarlite designed and retro-fitted a custom specular louvre to fit into the existing lighting trough. Providing a louvre to meet current legislation without the need for major internal decoration. Luminaires located next to glazed elevations featured daylight linking, helping to reduce the lighting energy consumption. The meeting rooms and presentation suites were fitted with a system to allow local control via a hand-held device. The presentation suites were also installed with an architectural lighting system with additional AV interface. The new DALI networked lighting management system was installed with dimmable ballasts, controlled and monitored by a dedicated on-site PC. All the work was carried out without any interference with the day to day operations of the bank.
