Course overview

This CPD aims to discuss lighting for historic buildings. Historic buildings range from 10 year old offices through many styles of architecture -including heritage buildings, landmarks and sites. This presentation will help you navigate questions like ‘should I repurpose, re-use or replace lighting?' It will also discuss how meet current needs whilst embracing the surroundings and examine bespoke vs ‘on site’ upgrade solutions.

By the end of the CPD you should have a greater understanding of:

  • How to recognise the needs of the building and building users whilst avoiding pitfalls
  • How to maximise on opportunities that enhance your project during refurbishment
  • When to embrace technology
  • Ideas and solutions for different aesthetic applications
  • How to specify lighting needs for historic buildings
